Reduce the number of older people who have a permanent admission to a residential or nursing care home
What does this mean?
This measure shows how many people over the age of 64 (per 100,000 population aged 65+) have been given a permanent admission by the Council to a nursing or residential care home.
Why is this important?
This measure is important because community care is usually better for people’s health and saves the Council and NHS money. Therefore meeting people’s care needs in the community is important to making sure that public services are as effective as possible in future.
