Increase the proportion of people receiving community-based social care services who receive self-directed support

What does this mean?

Self-directed support is where people receive personal budgets, advice and guidance, so that they can manage their support in a way that suits them best.  This measure shows how many people who access community based services are receiving self-directed support.

Why is this important?

This measure is important as it shows whether the Council is working with people to give them control over their own care.
