Increase the proportion of Care Leavers who are in Education, Employment or Training (EET)
What does this mean?
This measure shows the proportion of young adults currently aged 19-21 who were formerly in care for at least 13 weeks after their 14th birthday, who are in education, employment or training (EET).
Why is this important?
One of the best routes to a good quality of life, a strong economy and reduced inequality is through having good education and skills. Educational outcomes for children who have been in care can lag behind the performance of their peers. Our ambition is for all children to have the best opportunities to succeed.
