Decrease unemployment among CWaC residents (Annual Population Survey data based on economically active population aged 16+)

What does this mean?

This measure shows the proportion of the economically active population in the borough who are unemployed. The annual population survey (APS) from the Office of National Statistics (ONS) provides the results for this measure.

Why is this important?

Measuring the unemployment rate is important because it shows how many of the borough’s residents have jobs, and how many are out of work. The Council wants to make sure as many people as possible have jobs, and keeping track of this rate gives the Council data on whether its efforts are having a positive impact.
